Who I am

Hello, I’m Raja Avila, the heart and hands behind Sacred Sisterhood. My deepest wish is to help women reconnect with their true, natural selves (Fitra) and bring healing where it’s needed most, all through the gentle and guiding principles of Islam.

I’ve had quite the journey to get here! While I hold a degree in business (more on that below 👀), my true calling led me to become certified in feminine embodiment coaching, Islamic spiritual healing, Ayurveda, yoga, meditation, and breathwork.

Originally from Colombia, I grew up fiercely independent, determined to build a successful career, and quickly moved up the ladder to work in management at a top company. But along the way, I realized I was disconnected—from my heart, my body, and something bigger. I was keeping busy to avoid facing my true feelings and the vulnerable parts of myself. I longed for deeper connection, peace, and balance.

My spiritual journey began in Brazil, where I was still in the corporate world. I started asking Allah for guidance on what He wanted for my life, and soon, I found myself leaving that world behind to follow His calling. This path led me to India, where I studied Ayurveda and met my former husband. Together, we moved to the USA and began offering holistic coaching, workshops, and healing services.

Even with all this healing work, life had more lessons for me. My marriage uncovered deeper wounds from past traumas. After our divorce, I realized I needed to go even further in my journey of healing. I started reconnecting with my feminine essence, unlearning old patterns, and truly aligning with my inner nature. Yoga, meditation, prayer—all became keys to my healing, but most of all, my connection to Allah grew stronger. It was through Islam that I found a path of pure devotion and service to God.

With this new foundation, I felt a powerful calling to share my journey with other women. Supported by Allah, I began holding space for women seeking healing and a deeper connection to themselves and to God.

Since then, Sacred Sisterhood has become a place where women around the world can reconnect with their hearts and faith, build a strong spiritual practice, and embrace their natural feminine essence (Fitra). Above all, it's a space to nourish and strengthen our bond with Allah, together. 🌹
